Meet Ms. Sworupa Shrestha
Ms. Sworupa Shrestha, a devoted cancer social activist and philanthropist is a person who has made her unique mark as a social worker and a successful entrepreneur in Nepal.
A visionary with goals to develop and innovate the health sector in Nepal, Ms. Sworupa Shrestha is a humanitarian who has dedicated her life to fight cancer and contribute cancer patients and their families in Nepal.
About Ms. Sworupa Shrestha
Mrs. Shrestha is a vice president of a community based NGO named “Nepal Cancer Support Group” which was founded by cancer specialists, cancer survivors and volunteers in 2001 AD. She has been working actively to support cancer patients and their families in Nepal and spreading awareness about cancer. A ramp walk for children cancer survivor was also organized for the first time in Nepal under her initiative.
Mrs. Sworupa is also the founder and chairperson of “Upachar ka Lagi Sahayogi Haay Haru” which was started in 2016 AD. Through this organization she has been helping and supporting people economically for their treatment against different diseases like cancer, kidney failure & heart patients. She has also been actively associated with different organizations like Association of Private health Institution in Nepal(APHIN), Rotary club of Yala, Nepal Chamber of Commerce etc.

Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center
Ms Sworupa Shrestha is working at Nepal Cancer Hospital and Research Center, Harisiddhi as an executive member. She is the Director/ Founder/Coordinator of monitoring and evaluation committee at the hospital.
As a philanthropist she has been working actively to mitigate cancer in Nepal and she has been contributing for cancer patients and their families. This state of the art hospital is renowned for its services and high end technology for cancer treatment in Nepal.
Upacharko Lagi Sahayogi Haatharu (उपचारको लागि सहयोगी हातहरु )
Upachaar Ko Lagi Sahayogi Haatharu is a NGO started by Ms Sworupa Shrestha. The organization was established with a vision to provide economic support to people suffering from cancer and various other diseases like kidney failure and heart diseases.
Nepal Chamber of Commerce
Ms. Sworupa Shrestha is an executive member of Nepal Woman Chamber, a body of Nepal Chamber of Commerce. This organization is dedicated to the economic development of Nepal through the promotion and protection of commerce and industries. It has been working to make the trade sector competitive and enhance the national economy through it.
The organization has been assisting the government in formulating the commercial, industrial, and fiscal policies as well.
As an executive member, Ms. Sworupa Shrestha has been working meticulously to achieve the vision and mission of the organization.
